Decent bivvy
I’m using this bivvy for about 2 years now in heavy rain, storm, snow and blistering heat.
So far I have no complaints.
The fabric is amazing and will surely keep you dry, specially in combination with the wrap.
The downside of the high quality fabric is that even during the day it’s always dark inside the bivvy.
The front panel can be completely zipped out or rolled up.
You can even choose to open up only one side of the front panel
When the rear vents are opened you’ll have a cool draft running trough the bivvy that keeps you cool, instead of waking up sweaty when the sun comes up..
In winter and with the wrap on it’s also quite well insulated, I’m using a gas lamp and the heat coming from that is keeping it warm enough to sleep in my T-shirt.
That said, there’s a few points I don’t like.
When the bivvy is set up tightly there’s an opening on the ground where the front panel zip starts and ends, possibly allowing rodents to enter. And the velcro of the rear vents tend to crash open on the bottom allowing heat to escape or cold air to enter.
Overall a very decent bivvy, not planning on getting another one anytime soon.
